great game, mediocre experience
Exciting and deservedly fun & spirited game. But the venue, yikes... doubt this critical review will ever get posted but,
1) got there early to watch the practice, but the absolutely ridiculous volume of the music was AWFUL - painfully loud - let us be excited without deafening us. BAD for everyone - did you forget that there are kids present and anyone who values their hearing
2) all the forced sprit and cheerleading - stop it - let us think and enjoy the game and talk to friends or meet new people but the constant music, noise, directions on how to have fun is relentless. Every time there is a coupla seconds break in the action the loud music blocks us to just be...
3) the two cheerleaders - useless and unnecessary, shelve them
4) show sow opposition fans on the twins screens, they paid good money to be there and add excitement to the company. Dont ignore them OR insult them by putting a Kraken jersey pic on their other team's gear. Glad that woman gave you the finger - take it as a lesson.
5) ushers to help find seats, very few present at this game
relax and let the fan base who are already present enjoy the game without you telling us how to have fun and have spirit.
Fun Hockey Game
Got to Climate Pledge Arena shortly before it opened. Toured all the levels during the two games we attended. Very nice venue. We were looking for burritos but we didn't find any. Visited three food vendors. Food was typical. Nothing special. However, all the vendors were super friendly and helpful. Security person went out of his way to briefly show us around and point out various locations. During the game things moved right along with something different at each break in the game. Lots of planning to do that. A lot of fun. We were only able to afford to go due to the Kracken offering discount tickets last summer. Thanks, Kracken!
